FirstClass home
If you have an email account on our server you can access your mail here.  You have three choices for getting your mail: Download, install, and use the FirstClass Client; Login to your MailBox here online; or setup a normal POP email client (like Outlook Express) to download your mail.  You may use any combination of these methods with different computers, at home, at school, or elsewhere.

There are a few considerations you should be aware of for each of these methods.  Using the FirstClass Client will be the preferred method from school, as it will be installed on all PC's and allows you the most complete set of tools for utilizing the server.  Please take the time to learn what FirstClass can do for you!

Online access, here at the server, is quite basic, and is probably best suited to very limited use, while traveling, or maybe for home use, depending on your needs.  If you delete messages while using the online access they will no longer be available and you will not see them again from any other method.  If you access the system by logging in online from a shared computer please do not store your password and be sure to close all copies of the browser when you finish with your session to logout, for security, otherwise the next user could access your private information.

Setting up a POP client is fairly easy, and will allow you to download and manage your mail on your own PC.  For server names and details needed to do this please view this page of instructions.  Be aware that if you do not set the Advanced setting for "Leave a copy of messages on server"  or similar in your email client then you will not see the messages by any other method.

A spam killing program like Mailwasher can also be utilized to help reduce the influx of junk mail.  Mailwasher checks your mail, before you download it, and lets you delete and/or bounce back messages to make it look to the sender like your address does not exist.
